Download - Halcyon Symbios

Post by JFK »

Hi --

I have a demo version that I am trying out.

Your list of supported dive computers includes the Symbios, however I can't find it on the list of computers on the Download function of the softrware (Windows PC).

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hi Jonathan

It's in the beta version. Please download this zip file and copy the content into the Diving Log 6.0 program folder. Then you'll find it in the list. Please let me know if the download works with this computer.

Kind regards,
Sven

Hi Sven

The handset doesn't stay paired with Windows (Bluetooth), and if you select the device from the 'unpaired' list I get a "DC_Unsupported" error.

However, when connected to the PC via the USB cable that it comes with it does stay connected and you can access the memory as you would a USB stick - the log files are there as .bin and .csv files.

So, perhaps importing via USB is going to the path of least resistance for this DC.

Hi Jonathan

I think I forgot to add a few things, I'll get back to you later today with a new beta. Thank you for your help!

No problem!

In the meantime I have brute-forced it, and used a spreadsheet to translate the custom Halcyon.csv format to UDDF.

Not a great use of time, however I did learn a bit about the device and the way Diving Log imports/exports data.

It takes me 10 minutes per dive to upload manually, but at least my log is up to date!

Best

Hi Jonathan

I've created a new beta for you to try. Please download the zip file again and copy all files into the Diving Log 6.0 program folder.

Activate "Log Errors" in the downloader advanced settings, click on the "Download" button and send me the resulting error log. USB is not yet supported, but Bluetooth. Thank you!

Cheers,
Sven
