Hi
Noob here - so apologies if this is a foolish question or answered elsewhere, but I can't see it in the forums
I'm trying to sync logbooks between the iOS app and Windows app - almost everything looks to be fine, but any attached media doesn't seem to synch between them. I'm using the media to add either photos of my historical paper logs, or the dive shop stamp on the new dives. Please could you advise if this should work and any suggestions of what I'm doing wrong
regards
Mark
Sync Media between Windows and iOS
Re: Sync Media between Windows and iOS
Hi Mark
Unfortunately media syncing is not possible at the moment. Low resolution images are synced for most items, e.g. dive site, buddy & equipment pictures etc, but only low res is stored directly in the database and no media attached to dives. Stamp images will be synced, but there is a separate stamp field in the logbook layout (e.g. Extended Layout) which you have to use
Kind regards,
Sven

Re: Sync Media between Windows and iOS
Hi Sven
Many thanks for the reply - I think I'll just store a link to a OneDrive or iCloud image then as a workaround
Thanks for the pointer on the extended layout to see the stamps - I hadn't spotted that

What you can do is adding online pictures right to the media tab in Diving Log:
https://www.divinglog.com/blog/?page_id=2794
These picture are not shown either in the mobile apps yet, but this will be the easiest to support in the future, as no syncing is required.
