Battery level data?

Post by tomh009 »

Is there any plan to include battery level data (from dive computers that support it) in a future version? Subsurface has at least some support for it, would love to see it in Diving Log as well.

Hi

Sorry for the late response! Do you mean battery level data in the profile data or just a single value before/after the dive? Do you know which dive computer supports this?

Kind regards,

At least Sharewater has this information.

Are you sure you don't mean the voltage from the O2 sensors?

Hi Sven,

Am interested in either Suunto Eon or Shearwater. Within a dive is not really very important (in my opinion!) but seeing it after each dive would be super. The minimum would be to know the current/latest battery level as the dive computers don't generally show a precise battery level on the display.

Thanks!

Yes. In Shearwater cloud I can see a yellow line in the dive graph giving the voltage of the computer/controler. In my case around 4.0V. Can't post a picture of it.

Does that effectively show the current battery status?

Not the status, as in if the battery still has enough power for the next dive. But you can sea the voltage. And it also varies along the dive, especially with cold water dives.

Right. What I really am looking for is a rough idea of how many dives are left on the battery. My current Suunto D6i tells me "battery low" when I switch to dive mode so that means I need to change it NOW--and at times it's not easy to get an immediate battery change.
