Hello Sven,
Since the last update for Android version 5.4 of October 31, 2022, an additional line appears in the notification panel.
This additional line does not react when selected.
If I open the application via the "Diving Log Equipment" notification, the additional notification does not clear, only way to clear it is to use the Clear All function of the notification panel.
Is this a normal option of your application?
App Version: 5.4
OS Version: G980FXXSFFVIB/G980FOXMFFVHA/F980FXXSFFVHA
At your disposal for any further information.
Kind regards.

Re: Android Notifications
Hello Olivier
Yes, another user reported the same issue. I haven't seen this on my phone yet, but I'm investigating. I will post here a version which you can try to confirm this issue is fixed.
Kind regards,
Sven

Re: Android Notifications
Hi Olivier
I got this notification only once in the past weeks, directly after my phone was updated to Android 13 it was there after the restart. Since then, I never got it again. Have you seen this notification again and was your phone updated to Android 13 when you saw it the first time?
Kind regards,
Sven

Re: Android Notifications
Hi Sven,
Thanks for your reply.
Attached is the software status of my smartphone, I have Android 13. I have just rebooted my device to check for this notification, it still appears.

Re: Android Notifications
Hi Sven,
funny to find this post as the only one active here, when I just came in to report the same issue
I discovered on my Android 13 devices, the app seem to autostart after a device´s reboot.
As I don´t reboot my devices very often, I can´t remember if I had this behaviour on earlier Android versions, but on 13 this happens everytime. Maybe it autostarts on all Android versions but without notification on Android < 13?
So the question is: why does it autostart at device boot up and how can I prevent that?
Kind regards,
Rob

Re: Android Notifications
Hi Rob
Ahh thank you! You're right, it is triggered by a restart, now I can reproduce the problem on Android 13. I'll have a look at this.
The autostart on boot happens because of equipment service notifications. Any scheduled notifications are cleared during restart, so a background service starts shortly, checks if notifications are enabled and re-schedules any upcoming service dates and then closes again. So it does not run constantly in the background, it's just a short routine.
But somehow this triggers these old style notifications, which are only used for the file picker (to prevent the app going to sleep while looking for the file). I'll replace them with newer code and this should fix the problem.
Kind regards,
Sven

Re: Android Notifications
Okay, finally found and fixed the problem! Thank you Rob for the restart hint, that was the trigger. Will be included in the next update this week.

That's great news! Thanks for your always lightning fast response & development!
