Ok, I've found a way to deal with my first question (i.e. creating mirrored pages). I'll post it here in case it can help anyone else.

1. In designer, double-click "Project" in the Objects window
2. Under Layout Definition, select Horizontal Offset and add: Cond(even(LogNumber),10,0)
